PHOTOS: Fire crews at the scene of huge farmland fire
Published by Simon Fielding at 10:23am 21st September 2018. (Updated at 10:30am 21st September 2018)
Fire crews are on the scene of a huge farmland fire in West Sussex.
A call came in just before 9.30pm on Thursday night, reporting two barns containing around 350 tonnes of stacked timber and machinery which were well alight in Bugshill Lane, Bepton, near Midhurst.

At the height of the incident, six engines and two water carrying vehicles were in attendance. Crews from Petworth, Midhurst, Chichester, Arundel, Haselmere and Bordon.
Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, two jets and two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire, which was then allowed to burn under supervision.

Crews damped down the scene and put protected boundaries in place to stop the fire spreading.
The incident has now been downgraded to two fire engines and one officer.
Crews are remaining on scene for most of Friday.
