Set against the picturesque backdrop of Goodwood and the South Downs the Earl of March is a country pub & fine dining restaurant in the village of Lavant near Chichester. The pub dates back to the early 18th century and was originally named The Bat and Ball and served as a coaching inn on the main Chichester to Midhurst road. The Earl of March has served as a local pub in the heart of Lavant and has been the hub of the village social life and community for hundreds of years.
The Earl of March is well known for its restaurant and fantastic food in the area. All of their dishes are prepared from fresh, regional and local ingredients whenever possible. The Earl of March serves a delicious menu including fresh fish, game and seasonal dishes. Plus choose from a variety of ever-changing specials, reflecting the best, natural, wild and seasonal tastes.
