The Roadtrip has raised over £20,000 for St. Barnabas and Chestnut Tree House Hospices in the last two years.
The 2010 Roadtrip hopes to raise as much money as possible for the new
St. Barnabas Hospice being built for local people.
Why we do it
One of our founding team members tragically lost his wife Alison at the young age of 29. She spent her last days at St. Barnabas House where she received the best care available. He felt the need to support the hospice as a sign of his gratitude allowing them to continue their care for the local community.
St. Barnabas need to raise 4 million pounds over the following year to build and equip the new hospice and so we will be supporting their 'BUILD THE DREAM' appeal by running our 'DRIVE THE DREAM' adventure.
Currently we are looking for 4 more teams and as much sponsorship as we can get ... if you can help with either please contact milly.luxford@spiritfm.net or info@hospiceroadtrip.co.uk

Spirit FM's Station Manager, Sally Austin, says: "When Milly Luxford came to me two years ago with the idea that Spirit FM should sponsor a bunch of crazy chaps (and as it turns out chappesses!) to drive through 5 countries in 5 days in old bangers worth £750 or less – of course my first response was…..really?! But then I met the guys from the Hospice Roadtrip and their passion and commitment rubbed off on me! Pretty soon Team Spirit were on board and not only sponsoring and publicizing the event as the main media partner, but also sending Milly along for the ride (well it was her idea after all!)
This will be the second year that Spirit FM has been involved and are extremely proud to be associated with this fantastic event raising money for our local hospices and can’t wait for the updates from this years event."
