The West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service launched the Safe Drive Stay Alive programme in 2006. The show is designed to deliver a hard hitting message to young drivers, making them aware of their responsibilities as road users and the potentially fatal results if failing to do so.

57 people have died on West Sussex roads this year and a further 433 have been seriously injured!

West Sussex Fire and Rescue service work in partnership with the other emergency services in an effort to educate young people of the possible consequences of drink driving, using a mobile phone, peer pressure and not wearing seatbelts, and also making them aware of the possible carnage caused by speeding drivers.

All schools that have Sixth Form students are invited to the events that take place in West Sussex.
