Open Mic with Sedge & Jon
Open Mic is a live show where audience members may perform at the microphone. These shows provide an opportunity for musicians, singers and performers to gain experience before a live audience. We've got a P.A and some microphones, but musicians are encouraged to bring their own instruments and gear, bearing in mind the longer it takes to set up, the less time people have to play. Duos, trios, ensembles etc are all welcomed, unfortunately we can't deal with full drum kits at every venue, due to space and time restrictions. As a rule of thumb, you get 15 minutes / 3 songs minimum per set, with the hope of getting the keener people up twice, but this can vary depending on how busy the evening is. We are a friendly gardening club who meet the first Friday of each month. We always have a variety of very entertaining guest speakers covering a wide range of subjects. Regular competitions are held together with all the normal activities (tea/coffee/raffle and Christmas Dinner). Each year we visit stately homes and gardens or other attractions that will be of interest. Please come along to meet this very active local, friendly club.

Tangmere Players are proud to present a amateur production of:'Curtain up on murder' Written by Bettine Manktelow by permission of Samuel French The tale is of an ameteur drama company rehearsing in the theatre at the end of a pier when a storm rages overhead and they become trapped. Events take a sinister turn when a ghostly presence passes across the stage and when the assistant stage manager falls to certain death through the trap door, the remaining actors are thrown into disarray. When one of the actresses then is poisoned, it becomes clear that a murderer is in the midst - a mureder it soon transpiers, that wont stop until they are all dead.
Performances are on Friday 18th May at 19:00 and Saturday 19th at 19:00.
