Outdoor Events MBK Leisures Junior Open Fishing Match
Junior Open Fishing Matches. A great opportunity to learn a new sport/hobby or improve existing angling skills. Make new friends in the fresh air. 4 age groups; under 9, 9-12, 13-16 & 17-19 years old. Tackle can be borrowed by prior arrangement. Male and female coaches on site to assist the less experienced anglers. All children fishing will receive a prize at the end of the match, the better they do the better the prize!

Outdoor Events Bignor Park Fete
It’s time for one of the Downland’s favourite summer events –
The Village Fete in Bignor Park!

Bignor Park is a private estate located in beautiful unspoilt surroundings at the foot of the South Downs.

Join us to soak up this special atmosphere as we bring out the bunting!
Many activities & stalls on the day:- including Aladins Cave
The ever popular dog show starts at 1pm with a class for every ones four legged friend!; A bar is available to quench your thirst while you fill up on the lamb BBQ or Homemade Burgers.
Homemade tea, cakes & savouries will be served in the newly developed stable block, or the tranquil quadrangle with a ringside view of the dog show

The Petworth Town Band will be there to entertain as you wander through the lovely gardens and let the children play on the bouncy castle, enjoy the woodland walk, china smashing and Pony riding to name but a few of the games just for them.

A Grand Raffle promises a top prize of a £200 – maybe it will be your lucky day!

While the silent auction could see you walking away with a days fishing, or game shooting on the estate.


This biannual event is run entirely for charity. Supporting Barlavington, Bignor, Burton , Coates and Sutton Churches. We aim each year to raise £15,000

This really is a fabulous day out for all of the family

Gate opens at 12 noon with free parking and entrance is only £1 per person (under 5’s free).

Cats Protection Horsham & District Branch will be holding this popular event at North Heath Hall, St Marks Lane, Horsham. On sale will be home-made cakes, bric-a-brac, books & toys etc. CP gifts & goodies. We also have an information table where you can pick up free leaflets on cat care. Entry to the event is free but donations (including cat food & litter) are warmly received.

Including rowing races; Maypole dancing; a ladder race; greasy pole; crowning of the May Queen; unveiling of the QE ll plaque; the silent auction featuring 2 “best” tickets from a selection of rugby internationals at Twickenham; a holiday villa in the Caribbean; hot air balloon ride as well as over 50 other auction lots.In addition to the LL Vintage cars and The South Downs vintage tractors; there is a BBQ and bar, tea tent, dog show and agility test, silent auction, plant stall, bric a brac, tug-of –war; live music; stalls for local producers; children’s races; face painting; Punch and Judy show etc There is also a grand raffle with lots of exciting prizes.This year there will be more emphasis on children related activities:- children’s races; face painting; bouncy castle; Punch and Judy show, Duck Pond, Hoop a Lolly and Hoopla etc
